Hello, I’m Zoe, the proud owner of My Special Event.
While officially qualified as an Event and Wedding Planner in 2018 through The Regent Academy,
I’ve been at the helm of My Special Event since its establishment in 2016.
Why did I embark on this path?
Well, after years of working in various professional experiences, including stints as a Conveyancing Secretary for a local firm of Solicitors, a Nursery Nurse, and even a Team Leader at several local Children’s Nurseries, I found myself drawn to the exhilarating world of event planning.
I have successfully organised my weddings and a plethora of celebrations for family and friends, from milestone birthdays to charity fundraisers, I realised my strength for turning moments into memories.
Passionate about what I do
My Special Event isn’t just a business; it’s a passion project aimed at alleviating the stress of event planning for others. The name itself reflects my commitment to crafting “special events” and “special days” for each client—exactly what it says on the tin. I say to my clients that my aim is to make “their day as special as they are”.
As for my qualifications, I earned a Level 3 Distinction Award and an ABC Award Quality Licence Scheme Certificate of Achievement in Wedding and Event Planning.
The rigorous two-year course equipped me with a diverse skill set, honing my expertise in everything from budgeting and venue selection to entertainment and coordination.
I am now based in the picturesque seaside town of Bognor Regis, West Sussex, and I find inspiration in the sea breeze and sandy shores. While I primarily cater to the West Sussex area, I’m open to ventures beyond, albeit with potential travel fees.
My journey hasn’t been without challenges, the COVID-19 pandemic and the cost of living crisis in the UK. Yet, in adversity, opportunities arise.
My Special Event has undergone significant growth and improvement, continuously adjusting our offerings to meet the desires of our clients.
My Special Event is always adapting and is committed to delivering exceptional service, whether it’s event and party planning, organizing charity fundraisers, or assisting with wedding day arrangements.
