Bognorphenia Charity Event 30th June 2019

After The Event

The Pixels Retro Video Gaming Event which took place at The Hothampton Arms all part of Bognorphenia’s Charity Event was a great deal of fun.  It took place on a bright, warm and sunny evening in the pub’s back function room.  There was live music in the front of the pub and the beer and BBQ were flowing nicely.

As you can see from the photographs below the event was a smaller affair than the previous fundraisers and we made a little bit in donations which went towards the grand total raised by Bognorphenia.

Various systems were in use including X BOX, Atari, Raspberry Pi and Sega.  Young and old attended the event and the whole day was a happy, busy one with lots of laughter.

So What is Next?

My Special Event is proud to be involved in another Charity Event with Bognorphenia in 2020.

Retrofest is going to be a Retro Day for all the family.  Further details are to follow but what do we know so far?

Retrofest will be a Children’s Fun Day held at Newtown Sports and Social Club.  It will be on 21st March 2020 and run from early afternoon until evening.  There will be a variety of Retro themed stalls and activities for all the family.  During the event, there will be a DJ and a selection of bands and singers offering a wide range of retro music from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s  possibly including the music of Mowtown, Soul, Funk, Jimmi Hendrix and many more.

We are looking for local stallholders to come and participate in this fantastic event.   We are looking for a variety of stalls and yes there will be a selection of Retro Video Gaming systems available on our Retro Video Gaming stall.  Jan Pniewski will be providing a small selection of our Retro Video Gaming equipment and play will be for a small donation.  All donations made on the day will go towards supporting Bognorphenia – Supporting Our Generation.
